PIC OF THE WEEK - BLOGGER TRIPLICITY... PLUS MOM

While in Iowa helping my mom celebrate her big birthday, I had the honor and privilege of getting to meet, and hang out with two other amazing motorcycle bloggers; D-Day from Musings of a Contemplative Biker, and Stephanie, The Iowa Harley Girl.

BLOGGER TRIPLICITY... PLUS MOM!
Me, Dean, Stephanie and Mom

I started blogging four years ago and became friends with both of these inspiring and entertaining authors almost immediately. I was truly humbled that they would travel over three hours (for each of them!) just to spend their Sunday afternoon with me and my crazy family!

I'm really glad they did, cause we had a great time getting to laugh and carry on... in person! Fortunately, Dean and Steph don't scare easily so all was good. lol! Thank you to Miss K (Dean's lovely girlfriend) who gladly took our pic for us. I'm so glad to finally meet her too. You see... (whispering...) "she's one of my Mahong Trails Companions!"

I hope that when I go back to Iowa for Christmas, we'll be able to enjoy each others company once again. A night on the town would be just what Santa ordered!

Have a great week everybody!

I love that you got to see them and spend the day with them. I think this small community of ours has stuck to each other and meeting up is just the icing on the cake! Like Wooley says: Its a blast!

Bobskoot... The nice thing is... there is no awkward "getting to know them" first. It's more like "good to see you again"!

Wooley... It's hard to figure why... but YES!! ;}

K.T... Yes it is! Delicious too!
I remember having a pen pal when I was 12. (She was on the far west side of Nebraska and I lived on the far east side of Iowa). We used to get so mad that our parents wouldn't drive us somewhere so we could meet each other. I don't know about her's but mine kept saying... "but you don't even know her!" Well... yes I did! That's the way I feel about my blogger friends.

Lady R,

Sounds like a great time, the one thing (OK one of the things) I wish I had done on my cross-country ride this year was to meet some other bloggers on the road. Could have been a great adventure - it seems like everyone is doing it these days. Maybe next year... Looks like you had a blast.

Allen... Ding! Ding! Ding! You are the winner! Yes... YOU were the first blogger I met! If we (hubby and I) hadn't have quit going to NASCAR races to better support our Harley habit, we could have had several high speed rendezvous by now! lol!

mq01... after the party was over in the park, my mom invited the three of them to come back to the house so we could all visit a little longer. We were enjoying ourselves pretty good... even before the Jagermeister came out! lol!

I loved meeting you and your Momma and Karen and Dean! I had such a great time that I didn't want it to end. Seriously, I felt like I had known you all forever. I felt totally comfortable like I had just seen you all the other day. After meeting me you would never believe that I'm actually pretty guarded and shy...yes I am. I didn't feel that way at all. I can't wait to see you all again very soon and seriously...I want to meet more of the bloggers!

I've always wanted to take a trip around the country and meet all my blogger pals. I certainly had a great time getting to hang with you also. Mom still talks about you guys! No shy people can stay shy for very long around my family. They'll pull you right out of it... or else!

Looking forward to Christmas... I hope we can work out another date! (this time, maybe we'll bring our husbands!)

Sorry that I'm so late commenting on this one.
Karen and I had an awesome time with you folks and with your family! Thank you so much for inviting us join your family festivities. We felt so welcomed and like we'd known y'all for a long time.
Can't wait to do it again. I'm kind of afraid to drink next time though. Your mom almost drank me under the table with those shots!

Dean... I see you've picked up a little "drawl" there too! It's infectious, isn't it??

My family thought Y'ALL were pretty cool also. You've got to get up pretty early to get over on my mom. The next day when I teased her also about our "shot table", she just laughed and said... "well, it WAS my birthday!"
