MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!

Just a short and sweet post, to give you all an idea what we southern bikers get to have fun with. Our weather is absolutely crazy this time of year!

Going to work yesterday morning, it was 32 degrees. Coming home in the afternoon, it was 72 degrees! WTF!

"Dizzy... my head is spinning. Like a whirlpool... it never ends!"

Ride safe!

Indeed, I mentioned the weather roller coaster down here in my last post as well. I'm in the D/FW area. As the saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait ten minutes."

Ride on,
Torch

Torch: They say the same thing about New England weather!

LadyR: We have had a very strange weather pattern here, too. Usually our desert southwest is beautiful in the spring. The best weather you could wish for before the burning summer comes a knockin'. However, over the last few weeks, it has been so damned windy! I'm talking 30-40 mph winds with 50 mph gusts!! As a SEVERE allergy sufferer, I can tell you I am not happy!

I hope your weather makes up it's mind.

The weather in the Pacific North West is starting to stablize nicely...rain and more rain and then some is forecasted.

You won't get much sympathy from me on that! Here, in the morning it might be 30-40. In the afternoon it might be 40-50.

We won't be seeing the big seven-oh for a while yet, though a year ago tomorrow it did hit 70 for the day in Boston. The current extended forecast promises 60 if we're lucky, maybe ONE day in the next 10!

And I thought it was only us Canadians who complained about the weather. ;-)

It's been pretty crappy here too. It's now official that we've had more snow so far in April than we did in all of March. Rain, snow, temps all over the map. Hopefully it will settle down soon.

Yep, same here. Yesterday went like this: Sunny, warm, rainy, thunder, sleat, snow, warm, sunny Snow! Makes like interesting though. Thanks for your congrats on my post. Much appreciated.

It's not just limited to the south...though I guess technically we are below the Mason/Dixon line (by about 5 miles). This morning I had to scrape frost off my windshield, and this afternoon I walked out of the building carrying my jacket over my arm!

Global Warming, Global Cooling. Who the hell knows. “Screw It. Lets Ride!”.

It's threatening rain, and I'm happy. In California, we need every last drop.

... but 32 in the morning ... that's teeth-knashing cold for spring.

By the way, that patch about the absence of motorcycles at psychiatrists' offices speaks volumes.

Torch... Harley and his pals were supposed to go to Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. Toranados kept them from leaving Thursday so they left Friday and went to New Orleans instead. Weather sure can wreck a good plan!

Ann... Whew! That's enough to blow away your good mood! Southern weather is always fickle and always will be! Sometimes I want to punch Mother Nature right in the nose!

Webster... yeah, yeah... I shouldn't be complaining, but I am! LOL!

Baron... that's normally a really wet area isn't it? I had a friend that lived near Seattle, and she said it practically rained (in some capacity) every day. Ugh.

Joker... I know I've got it pretty good here. I'm just being picky! LOL!

Canajun... As I told Joker and Webster... I shouldn't be fuss'in! I still got to ride so what's the beef, right? I'm just ready for CONSISTANT warm weather. Not all this... "oh, btw... here's a little blast of leftover winter air for ya!"

Masterchief... Good grief! You've got some real variety going there!

Mrs. RC... Yep, that makes you southern! LOL! AGATT... leather in the morning, spring jacket in the afternoon. Thank goodness for saddle bags!

Willy D... Woo Hoo! Good answer!

Jevans... We've been getting soooo much rain, I wish we could send you some of it.
My "therapy" pillow is on a chair in our den. The nice thing about riding... I don't have to wait for an appointment!

I thought that kind of crap only happened in the Midwest.

Mr. M... I guess I don't have a monopoly on crazy weather days, heh? That's okay, it just keeps us all on our toes!

Everyday gets me a little closer to more stable weather up here. March and April in the Inland Northwest can be a bumpy ride for us Motorcyclists.

Thankfully, May through September, the weather is so stable that us "Drysiders" (that's what folks like Irondad who live on the western side of the mountains may refer to me as) can almost get boring.

I try to remind myself of that this time of the year when riding through an assortment of rainstorms and then snow and then hail, and all of that happened on the ride home from work a couple of day's ago.

Ride Well

Happy Easter to you and your loved ones.
may God bless you all and keep you safe always..

ET... "the drysiders" LOL!

I know we need to be ready to embrace whatever elements come our way. That's part of riding on two. I wont shy away from challenging weather while riding, but I sure would rather have nice sunny day!

I guess that makes me really boring! LOL!

Baron... Happy Easter to you and your family as well. :)
