PIC OF THE WEEK - BANDIT AND JOKER

We have two little guys (Papillions) at home who like the fact the we have a Jeep now. Before, it was all about staying behind and minding the kitties, while Harley and I went out and played on the Glides. But now, all that has changed and they have been going with us when we take off for a day of exploration.

BANDIT
Bandit looks as though he's giving me the "Hurry up mom, we've places to go and sites to see!"

JOKER
"I'm... too sexy for my ears... too sexy for my hair... uh huh."

I use a small insulated bag to pack some treats, their leashes, a water bowl and some water. Believe me... they get very excited when they see me "gathering" their things.

They love going with us these days, but by the time we get close to home...
... they're usually like this. ZZzzZZzzZZzzZZzz...

Have a great week everybody!!

Lady R:

One door closes, a new door opens, new experiences with Bandit & Joker to enjoy, no longer to be left behind. AND you can wear shorts and sandals while you drive and feel the wind in your hair.

Bobskoot... the Jeep is always dirty it seems. But that's because we can seem to keep it on the asphalt these days. lol!

Mq01... It's been really fun being able to take the boys with us. I don't think they're missing the motorcycles... AT ALL! :/

If you can teach them to drive you can catch some Z’s on the ride home.

Willy... Funny you would say that. Often, while parked, Bandit would stand in the driver's seat and put his paws on the steering wheel so he could look out over the dash and see where I was. This drew the funniest comments from people because, when you looked out at the car, it appeared that he was driving and waiting for his passenger to return.

I think he'd be a little reckless though, he looses all concentration when he sees a squirrel... or treats. tee hee.

Dear Lady RidesALot:

Neat dogs. I'm sure they love the new arrangement. Taking the two dogs here for a ride in the Subaru is not quit so practical. Their combined weights are 238 pounds. And there isn't a ounce of fat on them.

Fondest regards,

Dear Mr. Riepe,

Our house used to be filled with German Shepherds and we always had two at a time. Our biggest one (Whiskey) weighed in at 130 lbs. in his prime. He was very fierce looking and I loved taking him for walks, scarring all the neighbor kids as we sauntered through the hood.

Since I was always the one to bath them... when the time came, I decided on the down size. It used to take me 45 minutes and the garden hose outside to wash one German Shepherd... it only takes 45 minutes for me to do Bandit and Joker in the kitchen sink.

BTW... quit whining. We took a trip back home to Iowa for Christmas (sometime during the early 90's) in a Datsun 280SX (very small!) with Kieva and Molley (very big!) and Molley was in heat! Totally the worst road trip we've ever experienced.

So... what do you have?

The beast master,
Lady R

Mr. Riepe...
Correction: It was a Datsun 200SX... not the 280. (stupid keyboard) ;)
