TRUCKIN' IT TO IOWA

Harley and I leave for Iowa today. Even though I'm extremely disappointed we're not taking the motorcycles, I'm feeling really good about going home and seeing my family. My parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary and we (all their kids) are going to go home and throw them a big party!

I hope to get online and drop a quick "Hi from Iowa" post while I'm there. It's a shame I can't just hop on the Glide and go see the Iowa Harley Girl and Fasthair while I'm that close. But then if I did that, I would have to swing over and say hi to that cheese head in Wisconsin (you know who you are!). And while I was at it I could ride a little further north and see Mr. Motorcycle too! But... I guess it's a good thing I wont have my sweet ol' girl there with me. My family obligations will keep me tied up and pretty much close to Dubuque for the four days I'll be there.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and enjoy your weekend. Get out there and ride, and put a few miles on the road for me too!

See ya'll next week!

Cheese-head! HA! HA! HA! HA!
Hey! Wait a minute! You're talking about me!

That's OK! Stay in Iowa staring at the corn and smelling the pigs. We don't want ya here anyway! If you came here, I might have to take you riding through the Kettle Moraines or take you to the Harley museum anyway! LOL!

JK. Enjoy the time with your family. Visiting me pales in importance to spending the time with them.

Ms. lady R: Dubuque you say? Hummmm. The road trip gears are turning in my head. Congratulation to mom an dad. 50 year is a very long time to put up with one women's sh!t :) I kid of course, give them my best.

Ms. IHG what do you think, Dan want to fire up the bike for a road trip?

Mr. Dean, FYI we don't have any corn growing yet this time of the year and the hog lots don't stink yet because it isn't hot enough... yet. So just stay in Cheese land and enjoy the HD museum or something. Kidding of course. Road trip?

Webster... no doubt about that! We get pretty wound up when we all get together. Should be 150 folks or so to help us celebrate!

Dean... LOL! I knew you would know who I meant! One of these days... that ride will happen! ;)

fasthair... Riverside Pavillion, Saturday at Eagle Point Park... 1:00 till. We're expecting 150 folks or so, so what's a couple more! Woo Hoo!

I can't wait to smell Iowa! ;]

Have a great trip. I hope that in some way while you're winding through the corn maze you manage to run into Steph and Fasthair at least for a beer or something. Too bad about not having the bikes, but I understand sometimes that time and convenience requires the cage.

If you've got some nice hot "cornfed" gals in the family, see if ya can get them in a group double-eagles shot for me. If it's a hot day and they're in spaghetti-strap tanks, I won't mind!

50th...wow, that's just really damn cool. Bless your parents.

Hmmm...I guess my parents 50th is going to be coming up here soon.

Have a great time. Now I won't go anyplace where I can't take the bike...for this? I guess I would make an exception. Have a great time.

Joker... well, I failed you this time. But that's okay... when those corn fed good looking gals your talking about are my nieces, I had to change gears a little bit. LOL! Maybe next time!

Dave... I WAS pretty disappointed we didn't take the bikes, but it rained and stormed on us just enough to make me glad we were in the truck.
Bike trips aren't supposed to have time lines on them anyway. It was probably for the best.

Baron... Thank you! We had a blast, and I had forgotten how crazy we all really are! ;]

Steph... Darn! Sorry I missed you, but I was soooo busy while I was there. We want to come back again when we can ride the bikes up, so we'll definitely let you know when that will be.

Willy D... I know... but does it make it any better if it was a truck? Can't have everything! When we had to pull over on I-65 in Clarkesville, TN yesterday to keep from being blown off the road, I was glad I wasn't on the bike. Yikes!

Fasthair... well, I didn't see you at the party, so you must have passed. Sorry we couldn't ride over your way, but see my note to IHG. One day! ;]

Ronman... we were passing through your area last Wed. around 10:00 PM. I figured you were long gone by then.

mq01... Thank you! We pulled it off, and they were very pleased and proud of us. That's all that matters.

Ann... goes without saying. I have some CRAZY brothers! We really enjoy getting together like this. It doesn't happen often enough though.

Mr. M... We got back late yesterday afternoon and I've got to go to work this morning, ugh. I sure did enjoy my time at home.

KT... It was great! I will be thinking about this visit for a while. :)

Thanks for all your well wishes everyone! Even though I'll miss my family, it's good to be back!
