PIC OF THE WEEK

PEACEFUL TRANQUILITY
This quiet little pond was on the grounds of the Moundville Archaeological State Park we rode through a few weekends ago. The park was not that big, but still had a camping area and nice picnic grounds for families to have large gatherings. We noticed a Dad and a couple kids fishing and I thought how nice it would be to spend a quiet weekend here sometime. It sure would be a change of pace from some of my more rambunctious camping weekends.

I hope you all had a nice weekend and have an even better week. I have lots to bring you, and hopefully with no plans to leave town again for a few weekends, I'll get some of my drafts posted.

Have a nice Monday everybody!

Lady R

Wow. Living in the desert southwest, you tend to forget how green trees and grass can get! Beautiful pic!

Sometimes we all have to temper the wild rally times and party rides with a nice quiet getaway to a spot just like that. Maybe you'll go there sometime for a weekend.

Ann... I feel the same way when I see all your open dessert and hills. It's so refreshing to see something different. Would love for you and Big D to come this way sometime. Woo Hoo! I guess I need to work on my magnetization. (yes, it's a real word... I even looked it up!) LOL!

dean... I have about 6 drafts in my cue. All incomplete of course! I'm gettin'!

Willy D... For the last two weeks, I've been having serious withdraws. I had to post this pic just to remind me that I do have a ride... I just need to get on it. LOL!

mq01... I understand. Going back to work after being off for a few days really suck a big one! Then, we turned around and went to PC and I had to take my car, so my babies (Bandit and Joker) could go with. Fortunately, my hubby offered to let me ride his Street Glide coming home (approx 3 hour ride) and he drove the car with the puppies so I could get some ride time in. He's so sweet!

Joker... I couldn't agree with you more. I love a good party, but there's nothing that can take the place of a pretty, quiet spot to just relax after a nice long ride and become one with Mother Nature. Ahhhhh!

LadyR: We would love to come out your way...I just need more vacation time in order to do so! You have plenty of magnetization! LOL!

masterchief... Your welcome. I didn't realize big hairy sasquatches liked water. How's the shrinkage? ;)

Big Al... I love 'em too. Great places to ride, that's for sure.

Wooly... I have lot's more to share, but for some reason, I'm having trouble getting back into the swing. But when I do... look out! ;)

Mr. M... This is a very nice place. I think we will add this park to our "favorite places to ride" list. The dad and his kids looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Hey Lady R,

I am back in Texas and as soon as I finish going thru 723 emails ( plus a couple hundred in the junk mail folder)that came in while I was on the road, I will set out upon the important task of answering the comments to the Arizona & Michigan trips. Just wanted to let you know I haven't forgot about that or your blog...Ride Safe and keep the posts a comin.....

Baron... Can't always have loud and noisy. Peaceful and serene is a great balance.

John... No need to apologize here friend. I've been a lurker over at our place anyway. I've been so busy, I don't always comment. I have more of your trip to catch up on myself. Maybe by the end of summer... LOL!

John... as far as the lurking goes... that was supposed to be at "your place". LOL!
