BEST BUDDIES
This was taken a few years ago when Harley and two of his best buddies were on their annual "boys trip", to the Grand Canyon.
These two guys along with another good friend rode all the way up from Panama City yesterday to see Harley in the Rehab Hospital. It was a great visit and I think it gave Harley a big positive boost in his struggle back to full recovery (which is coming along nicely, I might add!).
When it was time for them to leave, I wheeled Harley outside, so he could watch... and listen... as they rode off. Harley jokingly said... "Watching them boys ride off makes me wanna cry." I just smiled at him and reminded him it won't be long and he'll be back in the saddle again.
He just looked up at me and said... "It's time to go shopping."
Have a nice day!
Lady R

Glad to hear Harley's recovery is coming along well. It will be even better when he mounts up again.
Glad to hear Harley had a positive day. In no time he will be riding again.
I'm just glad he will be able to hit the blacktop again. I always dread that day when, for some reason or another, I won't be able to ride. Ain't gonna' happen.
Hope Harley is doing good and glad to hear he is doing a bit better. Good friends are the perfect thing to help set things right.
YAY!!!!!! im SO GLAD to hear that hes doing better and thinking of shopping, this is FABULOUS news! YAY! when does he come home ladyR?
I second all the other posts, glad he's looking to shop as well, always a good sign :-)
I will need a guide when I visit Alabama for the first time ;-)
My best abrazos for you and Harley...
"Harley jokingly said... "Watching them boys ride off makes me wanna cry.""
Jokingly? ;-) Awwww, tell him I feel the exact same way...but I ain't jokin' when *I* say it.
And sometimes, I really DO cry :-(
I am just glad he has not lost the spirit to ride. He wil be back up and running (riding) before he knows it.
Thanks again to all of you!
Everybody keeps asking him if he's going to ride again, and there is no doubt that this accident has him thinking. I'm just going to sit back and be as supportive as I can during this time. I know the whole topic of riding or not has been going through his head, but I think he has to sort that out himself. I don't want to influence him one way or the other, but I'm constantly assuring him that as long as he and I are together, it's all good.
Thanks again for your supportive comments and well wishes!
So what’s the shopping trip for, re-build parts or a replacement?
Willy... The adjuster told us they'll have to total it cause of everything that would need replacing. :(
Harley's talking about looking at an Ultra. When I asked him if he was going to get another blue one he starts talking about... two toned candy root beer? :)
"It's time to go shopping..."
That attitude will go along way and serve him well. Glad to hear that he's on the mend and looking forward to hearing about when he gets back in the saddle.
Two toned candy root beer....sweet!
