TALLULAH GORGE

A few years ago, Harley and I spent some time riding around the north Georgia area and enjoyed some great scenery and some wonderful roads. We stopped at the Tallulah Gorge State Park , one of the most spectacular canyons in the Eastern United States and endured just a small amount of hiking to get to the overlooks that allow you to enjoy the gorge and falls.

TALLULAH FALLS
This particular trip was the first one we took after I moved up from my 800 Suzuki Intruder to the Electra Glide. I remember, I was more focused about the riding than I was taking in the scenery. I think I'm ready to revisit that area and enjoy it without the piggybacked apprehension that plagued me the first time.

Have a great Monday everybody!

I'm sure you will see so much more. But that first big ride was something. It is for us all.

That second picture looks like a good swimming hole. Wouldn’t surprise me to see skinny-dippers there in the summer.

Webster... not only was it my first road trip (1002 miles total) on the big ol' girl... it rained almost the whole time. By the time we pulled in the driveway after that one, it felt like I needed a full body massage... but, I was floating on cloud nine. :)

Gymonr... it was very pretty around that area. We are going to go back up this year... I want to revisit some of those twisty roads and parkways!

Willy D... Splash!!! Look... it's a Merman!! :)

Dave... two Mermans!! Wow! This is better than the zoo! I think it would be awesome to hook up with you and B.B. and Willy, and hell... anybody else that you could bring along. We could call it the "Alabama or bust club"! I'll be your tour guide! Just say when!

B.B... see my note to Dave. Let's make more memories!

Freebird... thank you!

Eve... your in an awesome area. I wouldn't think you have to go too far to find lots of cool places to visit.

motoroz.. The northern part of Georgia has some great destinations and nice roads for riding. The Chattahoochee National Forest provides nice scenery and is a great backdrop to places like Dahlonega, Helen, Tallulah Falls, Anna Ruby Falls and the Lookout Mountain Parkway is the best way to look around at some of what Georgia has to offer.

Been to that area so many times in my life. You should take in Dahlonega sometime and Mount Airy Ga too. I was born and raised in Jawja.
