HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

I've enjoyed sharing my rides and experiences with my readers over the past year with something I call "PIC OF THE WEEK". With 2009 coming to a close, I took a look back at my accumulated posts and compiled a list of my top ten favorite Pics Of The Week.

Without being in any specific order... here they are.

CATCHING SOME RAYS
CRUISIN' ROUND MOUNDVILLE

BIKERS FOR BABIES -TALLADEGA SPEEDWAY

IVY CREEK CHURCH

DOUBLE ARCH BRIDGE

OLD CONFEDERATE ARMORY

MT WASHINGTON

FALL REFLECTIONS

KYMULGA COVERED BRIDGE

SUNSET ON THE MISSISSIPPI

I thought it would be fun to put a poll up for a couple weeks to see which one of my favorites... is yours. Check them out and place your vote today!

Have a safe and happy New Year and here's to a better 2010!!

MDJ's Faves ('n yes, I voted):

Catchin' Some Rays: cuz it reminds me of our very own ('n very OLD) Thomas the Turtle, a/k/a Penis Head, who is actually a FEMALE yellow-bellied-slider turtle altho we had notta damn stinkin' clue of that on the day we inherited him. Her. Whatever.

Fall Reflections: cuz it's my favorite time o' year. 'Nuff said.

Sunset on the Mississippi: cuz it's right about where my c-c-c-c-coooold ass wants to be right about now.

Many thanx for the beauty, M'Lady.

And Happy New Year!

And a Happy New Year back at ya’.

I voted for the Double Arch Bridge. It just looks like it would a blast to haul ass over it.

Happy new year to you, I voted for the "cruisin" picture, what a great riding road, and lovely green verges - fantastic! I would love to ride that one.

My vote - cruisin' because it looks like you could just get SO into those sweepers.
But great pics all, and a Happy New Year to you!

I, too, like the Moundville Rd the best. Same reason as Canjun. Happy 2010!

I can't decide! They all give me cycle-wood! vroommmm vroooommmm!

Let me think about it...I like the bridge picture, but then I really dig that coverd bridge...only because I really want to rip through that thing at 90+...plus I just like the way it looks....plus I just like tunnels and all that...yah know?

I'll decide later. Happy New Years!

Happy New Year Lady R. Moundville. #2 would be the covered bridge. Then again I always liked those turtles doing it on "the bed of stone."(David Allen Coe" :)

Happy New Year! Great photo's, it was hard to choose, I like the covered bridge and the Fall colors reflecting in the water, but I chose the arch bridge...it is an architectural masterpiece. But, I have a tiny fear of driving over bridges, not sure why and it doesn't stop me from going across them, but I cross as quick as possible.
Thanks for all the great posts over the past year.

I really love the sunset, but I think I'm gonna have to go with the double arch bridge. I've always been a big fan of bridges - maybe it has something to do with dreaming of being an architect when i grow up (too bad that'll probably never happen)!

Happy New Year!

Thanks for all your comments! I got a kick out of reading WHY you like the ones you do.

I'm gonna make it my goal to be sure next years pics are even better!

And Dave... one of these days... your going to do your covered bridge run. I just know it!

i like "catching some rays" because that's what i wish i could do.

#2 2 is the covered bridge because i like to go down old road when i ride.

Happy New Year!!! (belated it may be!)

Redbone... I think this cold front wer're getting will prohibit me from catching many rays myself, but old roads we got. May your rides on them be many and long. Happy New Year to you too!
