I took this picture a couple years ago, and for some reason, I'm more drawn to it today, than I was back then. Maybe it's because I've been spending a lot more time with my spiritual devotions lately, and this rock seems like the perfect place to spend some quiet, serene time.

I also have a meditation rock where I can sit and just "BE". I have posted photos of it before, but when Webshots closes down all my photos will be gone, then I can post about it again like it was a new subject.

Just what I needed on a busy Monday.
This makes me think of my big rock by our creek on the farm that was my 'safe place' during my turbulent teens. I'd lay back on the rock,stare up at the sky, listen to the flowing creek, and work through my emotions as our pigs and cattle rummaged by... ha!

It does look peaceful. I still have the spot I grew up with. It's out back in the woods. It's a sugar maple. Everyone has carved their name in it.
The soft breeze and the sound of the water lapping against the shore can occupy your conscious, calm your jangled nerves and allow the Spirit to speak to your soul. being near water always does that for me and for Scooterchick too. may your prayers be marked with peace, clothed in grace and filled with mercy and answers from the One who knew you from before the foundation of the earth.
