PIC OF THE WEEK - THE BOYS FROM FORT PAYNE

Last year, Harley and I spent our 4th of July vacation up around Ft. Payne riding around in north Alabama, home of the county music group... "Alabama". I'm not much of a country music fan, but we did experience a three year stretch early in our marriage when we were hit with the "twang and swoon" stick and listened to a lot of country music... Alabama being one of our favorite groups. You can imagine my delight when I got to have my picture taken with Randy and the boys!

THE BOYS FROM FORT PAYNE
Here's me... hanging out with the drummer. I think his name was Mark. He was a little stiff, but still a really nice fella!

Have a great week everybody!

He was probly stiff cause he got to hang with a HOT biker chick and Lady R to boot and was all nerved up cause it was a dream come true :->

Yah think they made those statues larger than life for a reason?

Great band. Now...I want a statue of my own now. Now I just gotta' find a way to do something that will be worthy...ok, I'm going shoot for an evil dicator position...but then again, they will just pull it down after I'm dead and drag the head around. I'll try to get it by doing something good.

Thanks for the peep.

Webster... I was a HOT biker chick alright. Riding all day in 100 degree plus temps... very HOT!! lol!

I'm pretty diversified in my preferences, but rock is always number one!

Dave... and if they don't cut you down and drag your head around town, you'll just stand there like a moron and get shit upon. C'mon man... you can do better than that! Maybe you should commission a taxidermist and have your ass stuffed and mounted on top of Tramp so you can ride throughout the hereafter... Now that's a statue worthy of worship! Hell, 15 years from now, when the 4th graders come and look at you on their History class field trip, they will wonder in awe... so THAT'S what a REAL road whore looks like. Hmmmmmmm.

THAT IS AN AWESOME IDEA!!! SERIOUSLY! It's already been done though. I guys had himself stuffed and mounted on his crotch rocket. I can one up that though...I'll have myself stuffed and posed next to my Harley fixing it. LOL!

Dave... ROTHFLMAO!!! Now you sound like a certain BMW riding, Harley hating blogger I know. ..."next to my Harley fixing it." WTF!!

Never let 'em see ya sweat! :)

Dear Lady Ridesalot?

This statement caught my eye: "Now you sound like a certain BMW riding, Harley hating blogger I know."

I hope you're not referring to anyone in West Chester, Pa. I love Harley riders. I followed a hottie (wearing pink boots, metalic Wonder Woman hot pants and a fringed blouse) right into an open garage the other day. This was a mistake, as the rider was a guy... But my heart was in the right place.

Fondest regards,

The statue isn't big, Lady is just tiny.

Dear Mr. Riepe,
I will have to admit, you were not the BMW rider I was speaking of, but rather a swarthy car dealer type. LOL!

Metallic Wonder Woman hot pants and pink boots? Too bad... something tells me you would have liked that. LOL again!

Wooley... I LOVE YOU!! No one's ever called me tiny before! ;D

Now that you're shrinking, it's a good thing that Flat Wooley isn't around. Who knows what would happen!

Dean... I think Flat Wooley hooked up with a hula girl(Maklaylay... or something like that). I wouldn't stand a chance! :D

Alabama, loved the music but I have never been to the state or Mississippi or Louisiana :-( I haven't even made a stop over while on a plane. I guess I need to take a road trip :-)

George... You would love riding through our state... with the exception of June, July and August! You have to keep moving so you don't melt during the summer.
