PIC OF THE WEEK - SWAMP CREEK AND THE HAPPY FISHERMAN

Saturday was an awesome day to be riding the Glides... and ride we did! The sun came up early and brought with it a nice 70 degree afternoon. I saw some amazing pops of color that makes me wonder if Mother Nature is playing with her own version of Photo Shop but unfortunately, my camera batteries gave out after a handful of shots, so I missed some really cool Spring pictures. Don't worry though... I'll get 'em next time!

SWAMP CREEK
This is where Swamp Creek feeds into Hatchet Creek on CR 29 in Coosa County, right between Titus and Weogufka. This is the same bridge I've posted before, but from a different angle. Harley and I jokingly call this spot, "our bridge" cause we stop here almost every time we ride through the area. I enjoy the peace and quiet of this place and listening to sound of rippling water flowing between the creeks banks is very calming.

I was walking to the other end of the bridge to get my shot (the one above), when I heard Harley say something. I turned to look to see what he said, and I noticed he was hanging over the bridge talking to someone else. WTF? I looked over the bridge my self and there he was...

THE HAPPY FISHERMAN
This was the first time ever, we saw someone fishing this spot in a boat and he was reeling those bad boys in too... about one every two or three minutes. He was having a blast! I tried to get a good shot of him bringing one in (probably what happened to my batteries!), but he was too fast for me. After a little chit chat and good wishes to have a good day, we mounted the Glides and left him to continue his peaceful activity... while we rumbled off to continue ours.

Have great week everybody!

It was absolutely gorgeous... all day long! I totally enjoyed the ride, and seeing the occasional bright color of the blooming trees pop out amongst the brownish green background of everything else was so cool. I hate that I missed some really pretty pics to share.

That's funny LR. He was probably nearly as surprised as you were! Love the bridge/hiding bikes shot!
