PIC OF THE WEEK - SOLITUDE

SOLITUDE
Solitude n. the state of being solitary // loneliness // isolation // a lonely place.

Sounds lovely doesn't it?

I captured this lone rider Saturday on the Bill Nichols scenic highway (Hwy. 148) while Harley and I took a break on the side of the road quenching our thirst and stretching our legs. I love snapping road pics, and I consider myself very lucky to have the perfect subject come into my view while I was standing there.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Labor Day is just around the corner so happy holiday to all!

Ride safe and ride on!!

Solitude and the open road were meant for each other. There is not a better way to clear your head than this picture captures. Thanks and have a great week leading to the long weekend Lady R.

AHD said it about right. This is a great shot. Have not done the riding I wanted to do. Only a couple of tweeks and a fully remodeled 150 plus yr. old kitchen is done:) Did go on a poker run this week end. And yes when we were on the kind of streach you have here it was great. The air the land the sky. Ooooh what freedom we freedom riders have. Ain't it great? You both have a great week. And it's ok to go look at a pontoon or 10.

AZD... It's amazing how riding a motorcycle can make a person feel so empowered, free, and just plan happy to be riding! Hope school is going well so far. Have a great Labor Day!

Webster... Sorry for your lack of riding, but getting a newly remodeled kitchen isn't such a bad trade off. Well, from my viewpoint anyway! Besides, I'm sure you'll reap the rewards of the tasty creations a nice new kitchen can provide! LOL!

B.B. Thank you! We ride this road often and I call it my "thinkin' road". Nice and gentle and never busy. Sweet!

Dean... I know! I couldn't believe the perfect timing of that rider coming over the hill while I was taking a pic of one of my favorite roads. I wish I knew who he was. I think he would like this pic.

Dave... well said. :]

Labor Day Weekend. I see about 1400 miles of road like that in my future :)

Willy D... sounds like your weekend is shaping up real nice. We plan to ride a lot over the weekend, but we aren't traveling anywhere.

Hope you have fun (I realize that's an understatement) and bring us back a good story. There's always a good story whenever you and Dave are around. LOL!

Sweet Picture Lady R.! I'd love to go up and down that hill on my bike.

Mr. M... This particular road had about three good hills that are a blast to ride. Going up is always a powerful feeling, but coming down is totally awesome! There's something really exciting about traveling downhill and twisting the throttle forward... still! Whoooooosh!!! Fly like a bird!
