Matthew 28: 5-7
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
HE HAS RISEN... HE HAS RISEN INDEED!
My family (before my youngest brother was born) right before church on Easter Sunday back in 1969.
I thought I was high stylin' with my matching pink bonnet and dress... and check out my shiny new shoes! (NO... they didn't come off a pilgrim!) But no one was smoother than my little bro in his "little big man" suit.
Easters from long ago meant dressing up for church, enjoying a nice big dinner, then getting together and hunting Easter Eggs all afternoon with my cousins. Through the years, it's fun to watch the generations evolve from hunters to hiders, back to hunters again. The kids love hiding eggs for the adults too!
However your spending your holiday, I hope you have a nice one.
Happy Easter... from my family to yours!

Happy Easter to you and Harley! What a great photo! It looks like you even have on Easter corsages. How cool is that? My fam always dressed up like this too. It's funny because when I go to church today I'll be wearing my best pair of jeans.(HA...at least i'm going and it's great because for the first time in about 10 years i can actually say i'm not a C & Eer anymore...he he!)
I have a picture of an Easter Sunday long ago too. After Church, my older brother picked us up and took us to Starved Rock State Park. That day, I wore a dress, sweater and shinny shoes. Today we are riding down. I am wearing jeans and layering with assorted Harley wear and riding boots. How times have changed. I will have to dig out that old picture and post it. Happy Easter!!
We were in church this morning, I was in a harley tank top with a sailboat short sleeve shirt over it, shorts, and closed-toe sandals. Really grateful not to have to wear a horse collar (tie) and those toe crunching patton leather shoes.

We were just looking at those old pictures this week with one of my sister's. Some are in black and white..but we still remember the colors of the girl's dresses. That's like 50 years ago.
That Baby your Mom is holding is Friggin adorable!!! Who is that guy? I wonder what was on the ground that captured his attention? What a cute kid... The older boy looks like a mannequin. You know, one of those vantriliquist (spell) ones. I think people call them dummies now-a-days.
