This country road is part of Pike County, the same area that last weeks cotton field picture came from, and is home to many southern pastures and farms.
THE ROAD THAT SAYS "AHHH!"
There's no doubt I have fun on twisty curvy roads to challenge the playful side of me, but nothing says "ahhh" like a nice long sweeping country road that lets you see in front of you... sometimes up to a mile or so.
These old barns and farms have a lot of character in them and as I cruise by, I think about my home in Iowa. I grew up in the heart of farm country, but there's something just a little more charming about the farms in south. Maybe it's just the absence of pigs! Shew!!
Have a nice Monday everyone!
Lady R
Author's note: I feel like I've been neglecting my blog lately, as it's been quite a while since I've posted a nice ride report or let you peek into my diary. I've been very busy of late, and have had more computer issues, but hopefully that's behind me now. I know I'll continue to be preoccupied over the next week, as I have my brother and his kiddos coming for Thanksgiving. I'm very excited to have them, but I'll probably not be able to post anything of significance for a few days. Please don't give up on me, and I hope to be back in the swing of things again real soon. In the mean time... just ride on!! Lady R

Hmmm Isee you were in Pike County, but what state were you in?
Big Al
I love going through Iowa. I watch all those farms roll by as I go down the Interstate and think how it looks like suhc a peaceful way to live.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves looking at old barns and farms.
Great pics!
Don't worry about neglecting us, it's a busy time of year, and just getting busier. Hope you have a great holiday with your bro and his kids!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....whew...that was good!
Hey, We all get busy, and we all understand. No need to post sorry's. Take it easy, and post when you can. That's what Reader is for.
Ahhhhh, Nice pic.
Happy Monday.
Nice blog. I really like it.

I haven't exactly been setting records for number of post lately myself, but I think most of us realize it's more about quality than quantity. With the holidays, I think everybody's busy. We'll be around when you have more to say so there's no big rush.
Enjoy your turkey, and your country roads. Happy Thanksgiving and ride safe.
Big Al... That would be the big beautiful state of Alabama! These Saturday day trips usually don't take us across state lines... unless we're actually going somewhere.
Crazy Horse... I didn't learn to appreciate Iowa until after I left it. But, as much as I miss the endless corn fields and smelly pigs, my new home state is so lovely to ride through, and I can enjoy it (riding that is!) ALL year long.
B.B... thanks friend. Life get pretty hectic sometimes, but I know I'll get settled down in a few days. Life has been dealing me some kooky cards lately, and I've already got ideas forming to post about it. Until then, have a great holiday!
Dave... From one road ho to another... I knew you'd understand. :)
Mr. M... Like I said to B.B. Some of us who've been posting and reading each other for a while, understands "life interruptous". I'll be back in the groove soon. It's just my nature.
Thomas... Thank you. I appreciate the visit. I'll have to go and check out that blog too. Thanks for passing it along!
Joker... I've had to learn to quit worrying about this blog so much. If I don't have time... then I just don't have time. But then I'll feel guilty like I'm neglecting my readers who like to stop by and read my drivel. Then I'll say to myself... "who the hell do you think you are anyway! Get over it!" Yes... I'm a legend in my own mind! LOL!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your family. It's a busy time of year for everyone and when you get a break to clear the mind sitting at the computer isn't how we want to spend it, hitting the road best stress relief ever, think we'll need it over the next month. Hugs & we'll see you soon.
Always enjoy your pictures. Glad to hear your baba and kiddo's are ah coming. Have a great time and dinner with all.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :)
im with you ladyR, i love the twisties, but equally love the nice sweeping roads with good visibility. ah hell, what can i say, (i bet we can all say this), i just love it all...LOL!!
happy thanksgiving to you and yours ladyR. ride safe and enjoy my friend.
Darlin... You're sooooo right! If given a choice... to blog or ride? Hmmmm.... hold on just a sec... (still pondering)... NOT!! I'd be on my bike in a flash! The funny thing is... while I was riding, I'd probably be thinking about what I'll write about. LOL! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving too!
Webster... I can't wait for my brother and his kids to get here! It'll do them all good to get away for awhile. Good, loving, family time goes along way in my book.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too! I hope your day goes just like you want it to. (eat, football, eat, sleep, eat...)
mq01... yes... I could say I just love it all too! :) What's not to love about an open road and a free spirit, right!
Sunday is supposed to be in the 60's and sunny. That's when my brother and his kids plans to leave to go back home, so we may just hop on those Glides and provide them escort service as they depart. :)
Happy Thanksgiving friend, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Those roads look just like the roads in Calif. But how could that be? The Peoples Republic Of California is in a whole different Country.
And no, I won’t feel neglected. I’m married. It’ll just feel normal.
Open roads like that let you relax your grip a bit and take in the scenery. Glad to see you stopped to take a picture. That's what riding is all about; get out there and let the road show you the wonders of nature.

Willy D... LOL! I'll take a state full of rednecks over a state full of liberals ANYDAY!! So sorry!
Carol... Bless you! You must have the patience of Job. Have a great Thanksgiving!
BikerHiway... My sentiments exactly! I love the relaxed ride with sweeping curves. Good for my rejuvenation process! Thanks for stopping by!
Great ride pics once again. I'd say don't worry about the blogging time. I have done the same. Just haven't had the time and in particular to even ride with all that has been going on in life. Just let it roll when you can. Forcing stuff just doesn't work. Relax and enjoy the holidays.
I didn't hear the road say "aaah" but those kind of roads do leave me with my tongue hanging out!
You always have great ride photos! I hope your Turkey Day was wonderful.
As fas as the posts go, at least you didn't fall of the planet for months like I did!
We may not be legends, but I really enjoy reading everyone's blogs :)
MHL
KT... Your so right. I can't sweat the small stuff. Life has been keeping me very busy lately, but it won't do me any good to complain. I'll just keep on keep'in on. That's the best way!
Irondad... I'm glad I'm not riding behind ya! I'd probably get slobbered!
MHL... Thanks! I hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was a good one too. Don't worry about being gone so long, we're just glad to have you back!
Oh! wow wonderful post. Thank you for sharing it. Keep blogging.
