I love listening to the sound of water moving trough a stream or small river. The soft whooshing and spattering noise is like music for the ears, and therapy for the tired soul. I'm always capturing pictures of this peaceful medicine...

These were all taken during one of our rest stops while riding up in the Smokey Mountain National Park. One of my absolute favorite places on this earth!
Have a great week everybody!

When I lived in the Pacific NW, we had a favorite place in the mtns. that was best reached by 4x4 that was on a beautiful stream with a gravel bed for rockhounding and some sand on the banks for sunbathing and going au naturel if one so desired!
Oh my gosh I needed your photo getaway :-D
You are so right on it's effects on the soul. We were camping years ago and our site was right at the Tahquamenon Falls. I was going to lay there and listen to them way into the night. They put me to sleep in minutes and I sleept like a baby.
Oooh pretty and refreshing.
It makes me want to go wading.

Lady Di:
I would love to find a secluded place in the forest like this and just listen to the sounds of nature

Jim P,
Wow! That sounds like a little slice of heaven right here on earth. When I was young, I remember "creek stomping" through those cold streams when my family would go camping in the Big Horn mountains. We spent many summers playing around Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Cody, WY.
I really miss those days!

LM Preston,
Great! I'm happy to know I helped create at least one smile today.
Thank you for visiting Southern Comfort!

Webster,
What a lullaby!
Water noise is some of the most relaxing noise there is...

Trobairitz,
Take off those boots and wade away! There has been times, I've been tempted to do exactly that. For some reason, I haven't... yet. Hmmmmm...
Thanks for peeking in!! :)

Bobskoot,
Isn't it funny how something so simple... (like standing in a forest) can be so satisfying.
I've been learning to appreciate my surroundings more often lately, and I'm very grateful that God created such an amazing place for us all to enjoy.
Counting my blessings,
Lady R
BTW... I love your new profile pic! lol! :-b~~~~
