I've been waiting for over a week now for the nice seller of an '04 Fat Boy to receive his replacement title, so we can conclude our business transaction. I'm not worried about the deal falling through or anything like that... as he's already let me take possession of it. Yes... it's in my garage! But, I know it's not mine yet, and I'm a big believer in not counting chicken's before they're hatched... if you know what I mean.
The other morning Harley shouted at me from the other room, "Hey, your title is here!" Not sure what he was referring to, I walked into the room he was in and found him looking out the window toward our pool in the back. Pointing outside he continued, "Look... It's the Turtle Express."
TURTLE EXPRESS
The closest storm ditch or creek is a long way away from our house and I wondered where this big boy came from? His shell was the size of a cereal bowl! The cat's didn't seem to mind the intrusion, but he didn't hang around long enough to give them a chance to change their mind. I never even noticed when he slipped away... quietly... steadily.
I guess he went to find out what happen to my title.
Have a nice week everybody!

Turtle express, good one.
Good thing he didn't see a snail, he'd tell you know snail mail is here. Hope your title arrives soon.

Lady Di:
on a nice warm day, after eating I could be content to go slower than a turtle, perhaps not even move

The colour scheme actually indicate: It is a race turtle.
Every spring I begin the count on my "turtle rescue" from the roads around here. They always want to cross the roads!
Last year my total was 10 by fall. This year I am already up to 5 turtles rescued.
I like your "turtle express"!
Nice looking turtle, as far as turtles go.
It's egg laying season here now so turtles are everywhere. Mostly large snappers or the smaller painted turtles in our area though.
Trobairitz... That's one of the things I can always count on Harley for, his eye rolling one liners. lol!
I am getting my title Friday! The dude is coming back into town and we will seal the deal then. Just one more day and I can officially say again... I ride!! Woo Hoo!
I can't believe I haven't shared pictures with you all yet, but I didn't want to jinx myself. lol!
Cash in hand,

Waiting... waiting... waiting... still waiting.
One thing for sure, you won't get tired playing fetch with a turtle. BORED maybe, but not tired!

A bit of Lady R trivia... my best friend in High School gave me the nickname, "Turtle", because of my speed and skill in coming down the ski slopes. lol! She stills calls me that to this day!
Movin' slow,

SonjaM...
Your absolutely correct! I never did see the rabbit though... I think he may have dropped out of the race. Probably wasn't too keen on the cats.

That is mighty kind of you. Not everybody would take the time to help the turtles achieve their goal to cross safely. I'm sure they appreciate it!!
Kudos to you!

Canajun...
Are you by a beach? All I can envision is the massive turtle egg hatching that I see on beaches while watching the Discovery Channel. My heart always goes out to the little guys that don't make it to the water. :(
Run, turtle, run, (faster please!)

Lady R - I'm with you cheering the little fellas on. We're on a lake, but no beaches to speak of. Turtles here often lay their eggs in the soft shoulders of the nearby roads - which is also where the skunks and racoons dig them up with regularity - so I have yet to see a mass hatching. But it must happen as there are lots of turtles around.
