I just meant to say it was closest to the tracks. Tuscaloosa is only 80 miles or so northwest of me, and being an Auburn Fan, I try to stay outta them parts.

But you can send me an email... I want to hear some stories! And BTW... EVERYBODY knows you can't turn down a Triple-Dog-Dare!! Muwahahahaha!

Webster... Yay!... my fan has returned! LOL!
I thought this little town looked forgotten... definitely didn't see any place to eat, but I liked the old building closet to the tracks. Thanks for lifting my confidence back up. LOL!!

Willy D... ooohhhh. The trespassing part sound like fun. Old train tracks hold some cool memories for me. We used to hike along tracks all the time while growing up. As a teen, we had a cool place to hang out, on the outskirts of town. The only way to get there was to hike the tracks. It was a great place to hide!

Mr. M... I like that expression... "get lost on purpose". Sounds like a plan! Maybe we'll get lost again Saturday. Our Spring has finally taken hold and we should be relishing in mid 70's again this weekend!Lady R (Di)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08253802136989789026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1058662679644806189.post-42843422139083353042010-03-23T20:45:36.874-05:002010-03-23T20:45:36.874-05:00These are the kind of things we search for when we...These are the kind of things we search for when we are looking to get lost on purpose.Mr. Motorcyclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00317142329450322815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1058662679644806189.post-50809182430886302362010-03-23T20:13:23.858-05:002010-03-23T20:13:23.858-05:00I got some pictures a few weeks ago of a condemned...I got some pictures a few weeks ago of a condemned train bridge. When we ride I look for them. In the more lively town(a couple more cars) you often find a good eatery. They were from Tuscaloosa County, went by the roadnames Country and Snowman, and man did we LAUGH! Funny how everything down South is by Counties. Up here, most people don't have a clue what County they live in. It's all North Shore, South Shore, Metro-West, South Coast, Berkshires, etc. With these guys it was stuff like,"Ever here of Gordo? That's over to Pickens County." OMG I have some stories for you...some of 'em I'll probably have to share w/you in private emails though ;) Talk about culture shock!

I did learn two very important things though: One: Cold catfish ain't worth shit; and Two: You can't turn down a Triple-Dog-Dare!"Joker"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00123102968850707085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1058662679644806189.post-57943945903694829652010-03-23T05:44:39.552-05:002010-03-23T05:44:39.552-05:00Dean... My hubby thought I was nuts when I told him Castleberry, AL made the Pic Of The Week. He laughed again when he noticed I only had two comments so far. He said... "see? You can't give 'em the Grand Canyon and Nova Scotia, then expect them to get excited about Castleberry!" LOL!

Dave... Thanks! I liked that one too. In fact... I almost chose that one to stand alone. Looking down that long straight track makes me want to explore beyond what I can see.

Kathy... These little towns are very unique and still draw your imagination out. That's what so cool about riding through them. I feel like I'm riding through a slice of antique time. Everything just looks so much the same on interstates - except maybe Alligator Alley. Truck tire "gators" abound, but don't recall seeing live gators anywhere else.kathyhttp://www.chromeandpearls.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1058662679644806189.post-91680658283695347712010-03-22T14:45:06.870-05:002010-03-22T14:45:06.870-05:00"I was born in a small town, I can breath in ..."I was born in a small town, I can breath in a small town!"

Nice picts....Whoa! look out for the f'in train behind you!...that was my favorite pict...sorry, the rest were good too but that one...just cool.FLHX_Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17453169653430889773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1058662679644806189.post-79357860318786866592010-03-22T12:11:36.336-05:002010-03-22T12:11:36.336-05:00I love discovering towns like this.
